Between 1956 and the present day, the San Marino Crossbowmen's Federation has renewed its image by changing costumes four times: 1956, 1967, 1986, 2006.
The costumes now used are inspired by those in fashion around the mid-15th century and are very bright and colourful. Thanks to the painstaking care that has gone into their manufacture, they are extremely realistic and project onlookers back into the highly suggestive atmosphere of the Renaissance era.
